About Me
Hi, I’m Lola Boucher, originally from Birmingham and currently based in Manchester.
I’m an Illustrator and visual artist with a passion for storytelling through imagery.
I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2026 with a degree in Illustration with Animation, and I’m currently aspiring to work across editorial, publishing, and advertising content.
My practice is informed by surrealist ideas, with a strong focus on tone, composition, and intricate detail. I enjoy exploring the relationship between space and subject,
using fine, considered mark-making to create illustrations that feel both expressive
and narrative-driven. I work across a variety of mediums, including digital drawing,
oil painting, traditional printmaking, and hand-drawn techniques.
Beyond the studio, my time is spent immersed in live music and jazz culture, exploring film photography, or in quiet reflection with a book in a café—ongoing influences on my visual language and creative practice.
